Empowering you to make smarter choices –

better for your purse, better for the planet,
better for those who inhabit it

When it comes to your everyday lives, do you want affordable and easy ways to make better choices for the environment?

In a recent survey, we found that 80% of people want to be more environmentally friendly in their lives but either don’t know how, can’t afford it or don’t have the time – we want to help make caring for our planet easier and more affordable.

What is Sustainable Living?

Many of us are now much more aware of how we’re living and what we’re buying and consuming, from our food purchases to our fashion choices, and how they all have health, environmental and social impacts.

Sustainable shopping gives us the opportunity to make purchases which align to our values and the things we care about within these areas of impact. For example, you might want to to reduce the amount of plastic you use, create less waste or make choices which are kinder to animals.

We can’t solve all of these issues, but we can start to make choices which are a little kinder and help reduce the impact of some of these outputs.

Here at Buy Smarter, Buy Greener, we want to help you feel empowered to make better choices, whilst enjoying all the things you love.

We can help you take the first steps on the journey towards living more sustainably and we believe that it’s easier when done together.

Where to start?

When trying to be more aware of our planet, it can seem like a daunting task but here are some simple things that you can do to help make some easy changes or switches –

  • Check your recycling each week – look at what you use most of, and how could you reduce this?
  • Break it down by room or task, for example start with the kitchen or cleaning products.
  • Break it down by items, for example buying cucumbers or tomatoes without wrapping
  • Make a list of areas to focus on, do one at a time and then move to the next
  • Each week in your diary, pop a section for sustainable switches

Impact on animals and wildlife e.g. are any harmed or used in production

Impact on communities e.g. are those producing our products being paid a suitable wage and are their working conditions suitable?

Social impact: Are the brands we shop with operating in an ethical manner when it comes to overall business practice and how they treat their staff, customers and communities?
